Travel Approval!!!!!!!!! Aprobacion de Viaje!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally !!!!!!!!!!!! Our Travel Approval has arrived!!!!!!!!

My Goodness it only took 11 days counting from my Article 5 but it seemed like months pasted by.  It was so amazing to see the email titled:

Congratulations!!! I have your travel Approval!!!!!!

We are soooooooooooooooooo happy!!  After waiting 7 months 2 weeks waiting to pick up our Liam Panshu we finally are leaving on late in October or early in November.

It was so weird, I usually check my email like 100 times a day in case our agency sends an urgent message but yesterday I was so busy at work I did not even think about looking at. When I got home, I did the usual.... quick dinner salad and a quick workout  and then I told my husband I was going to use the computer to check a few things & my email and he replied " What!! You have not check it???? That means that God wants us to see something special together I'm going to be next to you when you open your email page" I thougt to myself "The stress has finally got to him, it's not the first time that I haven't checked my emails!"
But Folks my man was right, I open up the email page and there was the email with the approval and all the details
I can't wait to see my Pan Shu after so long!!! Mama and Baba is finally headed your way baby boy!!!!!

¡Sí! !!!!!!!!!!! ¡Por Fin !!!!!!!!!!!! ¡Nuestra Aprobación del Viaje ha llegado! !!!!!!!

Sólo tomó 11 días desde mi Artículo 5 pero parecieron meses han pasado. Me dio tanto alegria cuando vi el correo electrónico títulado:

¡Felicidades!!! ¡Tengo su Aprobación de viaje!!!!!!

¡Estamos tannnnnnnnn felices!! Después de esperar 7 meses 2 semanas de esperan para recoger nuestro Liam Panshu por fin tenemos fecha para salir tarde en octubre o temprano en noviembre.

Fue tan raro, verifico generalmente mi correo electrónico pues como 100 veces al día en caso de que nuestra agencia envíen un mensaje urgente, pero ayer estuve tan ocupada en el trabajo que no tuvo tiempo pare verificarlo. ¡Cuando llegué a casa, yo hice el usual. ... ensalada para cenar y  ejercicio rápidito, entonces le dije a mi marido que iba a utilizar la computadora para verificar unas cosas y

mi correo electrónico y él me contesta "Que que!! ¿Todavia no lo a verificado??? ¡Eso significa que Dios desea que veamos algo especial juntos, yo estaré  a tu lado cuando abre tu página de correo electrónico" Yo piense en ese momento  "El estres por fin lo tiene mal, no es la primera vez que yo no he verificado mis correos electrónicos"!

Pero mi Gente mi hombre tuvo todo el razón, yo abrir la página de correo electrónico y había el email con la aprobación y todos los detalles

¡Yo no puedo esperar para ver mi Pan Shu después de tanto tiempo esperando!!! ¡Mamá y Baba por fin van a China para recorgerte!!!!

Article 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got an email today from my agency informing that our Article 5 has been picked up and should be at the CCAA by 08/27/2010!!! and I also got our Visas today by Mail.......... I'm so happy, the agency told me that it would take from 4 to 6 weeks and it only took 2 weeks!!! now it is just waiting for the TA!!! Finally!! Just a few more weeks to pick up our baby boy.  Still so much to do:

1. Decorate Liam's room.
2. Get my Baby Shower together as soon as possible.
3. Start packing the suitcases.
4. Sent out an addtional Care Package with photo album.
5. Organize the paperwork for China.
5. Etc. Etc. Etc.

We are just overjoyed that it will only be a few more weeks after 7 months of waiting this part will be a piece of cake!!!

Recibí un correo electrónico hoy de mi agencia  informadonos que nuestro Artículo 5 han sido recogidos y deben estar en el CCAA para el 08/27/2010 !!! y también llego nuestas Visas hoy por Correo. ......... ¡Soy tan feliz, la agencia me dijo que tomaría de 4 a 6 semanas y a sólo tomó 2 semanas!!! ¡Ahora  esperar para el TA!!! ¡Por Fin!! Sólo unas pocas semanas para recoger a nuestro nene. Todavía tanto hacer:



1. Decorar la habitación de Liam.
2. Organizar mi "Baby Shower" tan pronto posible.
3. Comienzar empacar las maletas.
4. Enviar un Paquete del Cuidado para Liam con álbum de fotografías de nuestros.
5. Organizar el papeleo para China.
6. Etc. Etc. Etc.

¡Estamos super felices que sólo será unas pocas semanas mas.............. después 7 meses de esperar esta parte sera super facil!!!

 Our Mongolian Prince turned 22 months old on 08/17/2010!!! This picture was taken when he was playing in the Ophanage playground. It kinda looks like he wanted to play instead of taking the picture,LOL.  Mama and Baba are just a few steps to getting on that plane.   Love you!!

Nuestro principe de Mongolia cumplio sus 22 meses el dia 08/17/2010!!! Este foto se tomo cuando estaba jugando en el parque del ofanato. Parece que quiera jugar y no posar para el foto. JaJaJa.  Mama y Baba les falta uno pasitos mas para montarnos en el avion.  Te amamos.

6 month of Waiting & almost there................6 meses de Esperando y casi llegando

We completed 6 months waiting to bring our son home and the great news is that we are finally sent off the last package to our agency on Aug 1, 2010!!!!!!!!!!!! After this just wait for more details like American Consulate appointment, Visa approvals, Article 5 then the Travel Approval!!!!! This is a very exciting time for us, we are finally in the LAST PHASE of our adoption road to Liam Panshu. We just ordered his safari bed set and I'm buying the decor for the baby shower I will be having at my house. I will keep posting as the news comes in. 

¡Completamos 6 meses que esperan para traer nuestro hijo a casa y la gran noticia es que por fin enviamos el último paquete a nuestra agencia el 1 de agosto, 2010!!!!!!!!!!!! ¡ Hora es espera para más detalles como la cita Consulado Americano, aprobaciones del las Visas, el Artículo 5  y depues la Aprobación de Viaje! !!!! Esto es un tiempo muy emocionante para nosotros, por fin en la ULTIMA FASE de nuestro camino de adopción a Liam Panshu. Acabamos de ordenar su set de cama, que es de safari y yo estoy comprando los decoraciones para el "Baby Shower" yo tendré en mi casa. Mantendré postando como las noticias entran.

FCC_PR Agapito el domingo FCC_PR Sunday Get-together

The FCC_PR got together to celebrate the couples who are "expecting". In all there are about 6 couples that have refferals and most of us are just still working on getting the paperwork done.  We all met up at a seafood restaurante in Arecibo, PR the view of the ocean was beautiful! The food was great! and the company was incredible.  Here is a few pictures of the great time we had!!!

Our baby boy's room is still NOT done.  We have somethings  already in the room like the crib and the dresser and just recently with a help from a friend I finally picked out the theme. Here are a few pictures of the room coming together.

21 months!! How time flys 21 meses!!! Como el tiempo vuelas

Of course my growing baby boy turned 21 months on Saturday !!!
¡Claro mi bebo cumplio sus 21 meses este sábado pasado!!!!!

Look at him just seaching and exploring everything around him!!! Age 2 is coming up quickly, can't wait to hold him soon!!!

What is in a name?? Que hay en un nombre???

So let's talk about my baby boy's name, there have been many comments (and weird faces) when I tell someone my son name LIAM PANSHU. So people say "Wow, Liam is really nice but your going to keep his chinese name, why???"  Well honestly People WE WANT TO!!!  Look, the way me and my husband saw it, is that there was not doubt that we were going to keep his name.  We fell in love with him and PAN SHU is part of him, it is part of his identity from China.

Think about it..............When we became a family We will be taking him away from all that he knows, Nannys that took care of him, friends he played games with, smells of food that are being prepared for breakfast and lunch............I don't want to take away the only name his known.  Of course not everyone thinks as me and my hubby do and that's fine, Everyone make a decsion on what is best for their family.

Now, LIAM came up after quite a few tries, I asked him if he wanted JUAN and he just look at me with the expression " NO WAY" my husband told me there is more then enough JUAN'S in  Puerto Rico.  We kicked around quite a few names but nothing we could both agree upon, so we went to Borders Book Store!!!

We look at quite a few baby name books and finally we were browsing thru L section ............ Louis, Lenny, Larry.............. I just kept thinking NOPE NOPE NOPE.  Finally we both saw at the same time

LIAM :

Meaning: Strong protector

We both just looked at each other and thought it was PERFECT, we both love the way it sounds and the meaning was very nice. We found our boy's name!! Yeah!

Since we knew meaning of LIAM, I wanted to see if Pan Shu was also a meaningful name and thanks to my friend Mei-ling  for sending me this information:

Entonces hablemos del nombre de mi nene, ha habido muchos comentarios (y caras disgustado) cuando le digo a alguien que el Nombre de nuestro hijo es LIAM PANSHU. ¿Algunas personas dicen "Que lindo el nombre, LIAM pero……….. vas a usar su nombre chino, por qué???” ¡Honestamente gente porque QUEREMOS!!! Tiene que verlo del nuestro punto de vista, es que no había duda que íbamos a mantener su nombre chino, la verdad es que nos enamoramos de él completamente y su nombre PAN SHU forma parte de quien es él, y también es parte de su identidad de China.


Piénsalo............. Cuando nosotros llegamos a ser una familia vamos a llévalo lejos de todo que él conoce - las Niñeras que lo cuidaron, Su amiguitos con quien jugó, los olores de comida que son preparados para el desayuno y el almuerzo. ........... Yo no quiero quitar el único nombre que él hay conocido. Por supuesto no todos piensan como mi marido y yo pero eso está bien. Cada familia toma su decisión en lo que es mejor para ellos.

Ahora, LIAM subió después de que bastantes conversaciones, le pregunté “y el nombre JUAN?” y él me miro con la expresión de "Para NADA" mi marido me dijo que hay bastante JUAN’s en Puerto Rico. ¡Hablemos de uno cuantos nombres, pero no llegamos de acuerdo con un solo nombre. Y así fuimos a la Tienda de “BORDERS”!!!

Miramos bastantes libros de nombre de bebé y nosotros hojeábamos por sección L ............ Louis, Lenny, Larry. .............Y piensado NO NO NO. Por fin vemos al mismo tiempo:

It is true, There are many women trying to have children and can't (Been there) but I realize that God puts in a woman's heart the desire of having a family but he also arranges how, who and when. My Liam was beared by other woman, but he was born in my heart long before. Love ya, Mama!!!

5 months of Waiting... 5 meses de Espera....

Today marks the 5th month of Waiting since our Match with Pan Shu.  What can I say I remember on 01/23/2010 when I woke up that morning super tired, the nite before we were waiting to see if another boy had returned to the waiting list that we were very interested in but GOD had other plans.... the boy nevered returned to the list.  In the wee hours of that morning I received a call from a friend (Mei-ling) and she told me that other good friend (Waleska) saw a 15 month old boy on the newest waiting list and that I should have the agency send over the file.  After the call I went straight to my husband and asked what he wanted to do, we talked for quite a while and we both realize that GOD was in charge of our lives,  we just had to trust in him and follow what GOD puts in our hearts.  My husband took off to work early that day and I went to sleep.  I recieved a call from the Agency and was told that there was a 15 month old boy on the newest list and that she would like to send it over to me, I thought WOW this has to be the same boy my friends mentioned, I felt like this is a sign from God (He works quickly) I agreed and within a few mintues I recieved the file.  When I first opened it, lots of medical files written in Chinese and then ................................................ there he was PAN SHU, I had no idea what Love at first sight felt like until that moment, the whole RED THREAD poem finally made sense.  I can't even describe the overwhelming feeling of LOVE I had when I saw him in the picture.  I cried for about an hour, just thinking FINALLY we found our child and I kept stareing that the Picture and thinking " Why does he have pink shoes on?? Pink is for Girls not for my boy!!" LOL.

  The agency did inform me it would take about 6 to 9 months for us to travel but of course I thought "No Way, I will get the paperwork done  and we will be there by May..............Yeah, that did not happen.  Since then it just has been paperwork and waiting and then .....waiting on more paperwork,  but there is a good side to waiting it gives you a chance to read alot of books on parenting, get the room ready, plan a baby shower and best part just knowing that your parenthood days will arrive soon. These 5 months feels like eternity for me and my husband but we like they say " Good things come to those who wait"  but in our case it will be the Greatest thing ever to happen to us!!!!!

Hoy marcas el quinto mes de esperar desde nuestro referral con Pan Shu. Que te puedo dice, Me recuerdo el 01/23/2010 cuando yo me desperté esa mañana súper cansada, la noche antes esperáramos para ver si otro chico había regresado a la lista de espera que fuimos muy interesados para adoptar......pero DIOS tuvo otros planes. ... el chico no regresó a la lista. En horas tempranas de mañana recibí una llamada de una amiga (Mei-ling) y ella me dijo que otra buena amiga (Waleska) vio a un chico de 15 meses en la más nueva lista de espera y que debo tener la agencia enviarme el archivo. Después la llamada yo fue directamente a mi marido y pregunté lo que quiso hacer, hablamos bastante y nosotros nos damos de cuenta que DIOS esta encargado de nuestra vida, y tenemos que confiar en el y seguir lo que DIOS pone en nuestros corazones. Mi marido saló a trabajar temprano ese día y yo a dormí. Yo recibí una llamada de la Agencia y me informo que había un nene de 15 meses en la nueva lista y que querría enviarme el achivo, yo pensé WOW esto tiene que ser el mismo nene que mis amigas mencionaron, sentía como si esto es un señal de Dios (trabaja rápidamente) deje que si y dentro de unos pocos minutos yo recibí el archivo. Cuando yo lo abrí, vi muchos archivos médicos escritos en chino y entonces...................... allí estaba PAN SHU, yo no tuve la menor idea lo que era “Amor a primera vista” hasta ese momento, el poema del HILO ROJO por fin tuvo sentido. Ni puedo describir el sentimiento del AMOR yo tuve cuando yo lo vi en la foto. ¿Lloré casi una hora, pensando POR FIN encontramos a nuestro niño. Yo mantuve mirado fijamente al Foto y pense "por qué tiene él zapatos rosita puesta? ¡Rosita es para Chicas no para mi Nene!! LOL.

La agencia me informó que tomaría acerca de 6 a 9 meses para nosotros viajar pero por pensé "No, yo conseguiré todo el papeleo rápido y nosotros estaremos allí por en Mayo. ............Yeah, no sucedió. Desde entonces, estoy trabajado con el papeleo y esperando para aprobaciónes y a veces esperando más papeleo. Pero hay un lado bueno de esperar, te da la oportunidad de leer muchos libros para ser padres, preparando el cuarto, planificando un “Baby Shower” y el mejor parte es sabiendo que sus días de la Mama y Papa llegarán pronto. ¡Estos 5 meses se sienten como una eternidad para nosotros pero como dice "Cosas Buenas llegan a los que Esperan" pero en nuestro caso será la cosa más Grande en nuestro Vida!!!

He is running and climbing up stairs and playing with all his toys.  He is almost a size 24 months in clothes and a size 5-6 in shoes.  Our boy is getting bigger by the moment and we  just really want to be in China before his 2nd Birthday..... we really want to celebrate his 2nd year of his life with us.  As I look at this picture all I want to do is pick him up and hold him and tell him that Mama and Baba are here for you. Happy 20 months Baby Boy!!! We Love YOU!!!

I797C Approved!!!!!!! I797C Aprobado!!!!

As I mentioned in my May 24 ,2010 blog I still had quite a few steps before I can go pick up Liam PanShu. On Friday 06/11/2010 my hubby called  and informed me that the I797C approval finally arrived. I was so thrilled, I thought "Finally the hump to getting this all started and over to pick up my Boy! "As soon as I got home that evening I made a super quick dinner and told my husband I'm going to send out the I800 & I-864W in the morning no matter how late I had to stay up. I just knew I could not wait another day to go by without taking the next step to getting closer to our son. I got on that computer and just made magic happen....filling out forms, printing out files and double checking everything before signing anything. I finally went to sleep around midnight and feeling so happy that I got the paperwork together.  I was up by 8:00 am Saturday Morning (I set the alarm for 7:00am but it never went off, arrr)
and was at the Post office by 8:45 am and a while in line I said a little prayer "God, just let PanShu know in his Heart that we are doing everything within our reach to get there as soon as possible and the rest is in your hands, Amen" . Well, again the waiting game for the approvals to arrive, I hope and pray approvals will arrive quickly.

Como mencioné en mi blog el 24 de mayo de 2010 todavía tenía bastantes pasos antes de ir a recoger a Liam PanShu. El viernes 06/11/2010 mi marido llamó y me informó que la aprobación I797C por fin llegó. ¡Yo estaba súper feliz, pensé "por fin el paso que vas a comenzar todo para recoger a mi Chico!" Tan pronto llegué a casa esa noche yo hice una comida rápida y dije a mi marido que mandaré el I800 & I 864W en la mañana y no importa la hora que terminabas. Yo sabía que yo no podría esperar otro día más para tomar el próximo paso a llegar más cerca a nuestro hijo.


Yo me senté in frente de la computadora y la magia empezó…. Llenando formas, imprimiendo archivos y verificando todas dos veces antes de firmar. Yo por fin me acosté alrededor de la medianoche y sintiéndome tan feliz que pude terminar el papeleo. Desperté a las 8:00AM el sábado por la mañana (puse la alarma para 7:00am pero nunca sonó, arrrrr). Llegue al correo a las 8:45AM y cuando estaba en la fila dije una pequeña oración "Dios, deja que Pan Shu sienta en el Corazón que estamos haciendo todo dentro de nuestro alcance para llegar lo más ante posible a él y el resto están en tu manos, Amén". Bien, otra vez el juego de espera para las aprobaciones para llegar, espero y oro que aprobaciones llegarán rápido.

China Celebrates Children's Day 06/01

In China, children are celebrated yearly on June 1. The whole country celebrates with cards, presents, special foods, parades, and other activities. Although schools remain open, children do not attend class and are free of homework. Students participate in a wide variety of activities to strengthen allegiances to their country, have fun, and take part in, and join youth organizations such as the Communist Youth League.

The International Children's Day (ICD) is celebrated in numerous countries, usually (but not always) on June 1 each year.

The ICD had its origin in the World Conference for the Wellbeing of Children in Geneva, Switzerland in 1925. It is not clear as to why June 1 was chosen as the ICD: one theory has it that the Chinese consul-general in San Francisco (USA) gathered a number of Chinese orphans to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival in 1925, which happened to be on June 1 that year, and also coincided with the conference in Geneva.

June 1 has since been observed as the ICD by numerous countries, especially by Communist countries; in the Western world the ICD is usually celebrated on other days of the year (if at all), and there is often little public awareness about these celebrations. Consequently there is sometimes a misperception that June 1 as the ICD was a Communist invention. Nonetheless, in recent years even some groups within the United States started observing the ICD on June 1.

Children's Day is a time of festivity for Chinese youngsters. The occasion is marked by the Children's Day Celebration honoring model students from around Taiwan and the Peoples Republic of China and by numerous parent-children activities sponsored by government and civic organizations. Thus, the day not only lets the kids become king for a day, but also helps to strengthen the bond between parents and their children.

International Childrens' Day is celebrated in many countries around the world. Lucky kids!

En China, los niños son celebrados anualmente el 1 de junio. El país entero celebra con tarjetas, con los reglaos, con comidas especiales, con los desfiles, y con otras actividades. Aunque las escuelas se queden abierto, los niños no asisten clase y son libre de asignaciones.
