Liam's 3rd Birthday!!!!! Liam cumples Tres!!!

On October 17, 2011 our beautiful boy turned 3!!! It was so special because it was the first birthday as a family!! Octubre 17,2011 nuestro hijo hermoso cumplio 3 años! Es bien especial por que es su primer cumpleaños como familia!

I sent some cupcakes and bags of candy to his daycare and they sang him Happy Birthday!

We also had a party to celebrate his birthday. We invited family, friends and we had a Blast!!

A few weeks ago we were invited to a birthday party and Liam had a great time playing and getting to meet other kids in our Puerto Rico FCC group.

Mother's Day 2011 !!!!!!!! Dia de los Madres 2011!!!!!

Last year this time I wrote on the blog about how I felt on this day in years that have past, my struggles, my challeges and I was quite angery at the world about the whole Mother day holiday thinking that I was left out because I could not give birth to a child, but Mother's Day 2011 was very extremely special to me it really changed me. I was able to  finally hold the little person who made me a Mom!! I could understand what every women would talk about when they couldn't describe the love they had for thier children. I finally understand the difference of being the Mom you always dream of and now being the Mother that your child really needs you to be. We had quiet dinner at my parents house exchanged gifts and talked.  It was simple and wonderful at the same time.  Nothing like having the family together. I feel so Bless and grateful to have my son Liam and a wonderful husband like Juan on my side. This Mother's Day was truly a milestone for me.

El año pasado esta día yo escribí en el blog acerca de cómo sentí en este día en años  pasados, mis luchas, mi retos y yo estuve bastante enojada con el mundo acerca del  de día de Madre.........  pensaba que fui dejado fuera porque yo no podría dar a luz a un niño, pero Día de Madre 2011 fue muy especial........... me cambió realmente. ¡Pude por fin  abrazar a la pequeña persona que me hizo Madre!! Podría comprender lo que cada mujer hablarían  cuando ellos no podrían describir el amor que tiene para sus hijos. Yo por fin comprendo la diferencia de ser a la Mamá yo siempre a soñado  y ahora siendo la Madre que  mi nene necesita realmente ser. Tuvimos la comida en casa de mis padres abrimos regalos y hablamos un rato. Fue sencillo y maravilloso al mismo tiempo. Nada como  tener la familia junta. Me siento tan bendicida y agradecido tener mi hijo Liam y a un marido maravilloso como Juan en mi lado. Este Día de los Madres fue sinceramente un día especial  para mí.

Liam's First Easter - Primer Pascua de Liam

Thanks to our friends Waleska and Tito our Liam got to go on his first Easter Egg Hunt. He had so much fun hunting and ate TONS of candy!!! It was so nice to see him running around and playing with the other children. Moments like these make me feel so Blessed!!

Gracias a nuestros amigos Waleska y Tito nuestro Liam participo en su primera Cazar Huevos de Pascua. ¡ El lo paso super bien y comió TONELADAS de dulces!!! Era tan bueno verlo corriendo alrededor y jugando con los otros niños. ¡Estos momentos como estos yo se que estoy tan Bendecida!!

Happy Chinese New Year 2011 (Year of the Rabbit) !!!!!!!!!!

The year the FCC of Puerto Rico celebrate Chinese New Year at a Buffet Chinese Resturant and the turn out was great!! Everyone had a great time especially the kids!! They all ran around, laughing and enjoying the good time.........at one point I notice that Liam was touching some black knobs that were under the buffet table, I realize that it was the stove style serving table that they had and the knobs were to turn up or down the heat of the food.  Liam was turning up the fire full blast and the food could have burned (little stinker!!!!)  of course after that I was running around behind Liam most of the activity. We had a great time!!

¡El Año Nuevo chino feliz 2011 (Año del Conejo) !!!!!!!!!!

¡Feliz Año Nuevo Chino!!!!! El FCC de Puerto Rico celebraron el  Año Nuevo Chino en un Resturante Chino estilo Buffet !! ¡Todos los pasaron super bien especialmente los niños!! Todos corrieron de aquí para allá, riéndose y disfrutando el ambiente. ........en  un punto yo veo que Liam tocaba algunas perillas negras que estuvieron bajo la mesa de buffet, yo me doy cuenta de que fue la mesa de porción de estilo de cocina que tuvieron y las perillas debían aparecer o abajo el calor del alimento. ¡Liam subia  el fuego al máximo y el alimento podría haber quemado (Ahhhhhh! !!!) Por supuesto después de eso yo estaba corriera atrás de Liam la mayor parte de la actividad. Los pasamos super bien.

We're Back!!!!!! Estamos de vuelta !!!!

Hey Everyone, I know it been 2 months since I have written (I know........... shame shame) the truth is that I have been debating whether or not to keep the blog open.  The original purpose of the blog was to share my journey to our wonderful boy  and now we have him home and all is good. I just really wanted to have something for Liam in the future, showing how much he was loved even before he arrived home.   I have kept up with other blogs that show life after their China adoptions and I have learned so much..........God Bless those people who put their life out there for everyone to see and learn from.  So what have I decided ?..........................I will keep the blog open until we reach our 1st year Anniversy and I want to share my good and bad times as a adoptive Mom and I hope the example of my life will help someone else.

So the next few entries will be pretty much just catching up with the last 2 months and the great times we have had since we have arrived home.

Hola a todos, sé que han pasado 2 meses desde que he escrito (lo sé ........... vergüenza vergüenza) la verdad es que he estado decidiendo si debo o no mantener el blog abierto. El propósito original del blog era para compartir mi viaje a nuestro chico maravilloso y ahora los tenemos en casa y todo está bien. Pensé que quería tener algo de Liam en el futuro, que demuestra lo mucho que amaba incluso antes de llegar a su casa. He mantenido con otros blogs que muestran la vida  despues de su adopciones de China y he aprendido mucho .......... Dios bendiga a esas personas que ponen su vida al publico para que todos puedan ver y aprender. Entonces, ¿qué he decidido ?.......................... voy a mantener el blog abierto hasta llegar a nuestro 1er año Anniversy y quiero compartir mis buenos y malos momentos como mamá adoptiva y espero que el ejemplo de mi vida, ayudar a alguien más.


Así que las entradas de los próximos serán más o menos sólo ponerse al día con los últimos 2 meses y los grandes momentos que hemos tenido desde que hemos llegadamos a casa.

New Year's - Nuevo Año 2011

Our first family picture for 2011!! New Year's Eve was nice, Liam actually feel asleep about an hour after taking this Picture (10:30pm). We pretty much sept New Years in front of our house just socializing with our neighbors and blowing off some fireworks.  Of course checking in on Liam every 10-15 mintues. Can't wait to see what the new year has in store for us.

Nuestra primer foto de familia para el 2011! Víspera de Año Nuevo fue bueno, Liam realidad se quedó dormido cerca de una hora después de tomar esta foto (10:30 pm). Pasamos Año Nuevo en frente de nuestra casa sólo socializando con nuestros vecinos y vendo los fuegos artificiales. Por supuesto, verificando en cada 10-15 min. a Liam . No puedo esperar a ver lo que el nuevo año ha preparado para nosotros.

Christmas Day - Dia de Navidad

Christmas Morning was great, we spent the night at my sister's house and my niece Alixa woke us up at about 8:00am (but she was up since 6:00am). It was wonderful to see the excitement on her face and how she was happy to have her new cousin share his first Christmas, and in no time they were opening up the presents. You know most kids throw the wrapping paper on the floor but  I found out that our  Liam is a neat freak, everytime he would rip the wrapping he would neatly hand it over to his uncle Javier to throw away, he did not let anything touch the floor.  Too Cute!!!

La mañana de Navidad fue genial, pasamos la noche en casa de mi hermana y mi sobrina Alixa nos despertó a las 8:00 am (pero estaba despierta desde las 6:00 am). Fue maravilloso ver la emoción en su rostro y cómo ella estaba feliz de tener su nuevo primo  a su lado en su primera Navidad, y abrieron rápidamente los regalos. Todos sabemos que la mayoría de los niños tirar el papel que se envuelve en el suelo, pero me di cuenta de que nuestro Liam es un "Neat Freak", cada vez que iba a rasgar el envoltorio que cuidadosamente se lo entregue a su tío Javier para botarlo, no dejes que nada toque la piso. Muy lindo!

Our Christmas Eve - Nuestro Noche Buena

Yeah, I know it has been a while since I have posted, I promised myself this year I will post at least a couple of times a week. Our first Christmas Eve!!!! We went down to my Dad's house  and spent some time with my sister Lizette with her hubby and my niece Alixa. There were a few relatives that were in town for Christmas Vacation and Liam met most of them that same night.  It was really nice to see him be so social and playful (even after it was way pasted his bed time). We had a great time and took a few pics, enjoy.

Sí, ya sé que ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que ha postado, me prometí a mí mismo que este año voy a postar por lo menos dos de veces a la semana. Nuestra primera Noche Buena!! Fuimos a la casa de mi padre y pasó algún tiempo con mi hermana Lizette con su esposo y mi sobrina Alixa. Hubo algunos parientes que estaban en la isla de vacaciones para las Navidades y Liam conocio la mayoría de ellos esa misma noche. Fue muy bueno verlo tan social y jugueton (incluso después de su hora de dormir). Nos lo pasamos muy bien y tomó algunas fotos, disfrute.
